With the only town in the United States named for President Abraham Lincoln, Logan County is home to the town of Lincoln, the county seat where the past president actually practiced law from 1847-1859. Also home to three colleges, including Lincoln College, the town was christened by the man himself with watermelon juice, a fact that is now represented in the town’s colors, red and green. As you travel along historic Route 66, cutting straight through Logan County, you can see many wonderful historic sites. Whether you visit the Pi-Hip Restaurant Museum in Broadwell or the Postville Courthouse in Lincoln, there are many wonderful stops along the way that are must-sees.
