Perry County Schools

Perry County is located in Southwestern Illinois, approximately 70 miles southeast of St. Louis, Missouri and 300 miles southwest of Chicago. The Mississippi River lies about 30 miles west of the county. In the past, the coal mining industry was the backbone of Perry County for over 100 years. Today, Du Quoin State Fairgrounds proves to be one of the nation's finest examples of mine reclamation. Pyramid State Park offers great hunting, fishing and other outdoor opportunities.
