Schuyler County Schools

Schuyler County is located in Western Illinois with its county seat in Rushville. It is here where you can find a wide array of things to see and places to go. The Scripps Park Golf Course is a wonderful public 18-hole course. The course is relatively flat making it an easy walking course. Schuy-Rush Park is located in West Central Illinois. The park has 120-acres of park-ground and a 225-acre lake, making for great camping and hiking. Weinberg-King State Fish and Wildlife Area is an area of rolling hills with a meandering creek in Schuyler County as is the Weinberg-King State Park Scripps Unit, which was acquired by the State of Illinois in 2002. Schuyler County is also home to some of the finest school districts in the state of Illinois. Employing the best teachers and staff, the schools provide top-notch education while maintaining a small-town feel. Western Illinois University and Spoon River College are two fine college facilities in this area. They have state of the art technology which provides students with the best learning environment.
