The A-C Central Community Unit School District 262 was formed when Chandlerville Community School District and Ashland Community School District consolidated. The consolidation has improved the educational tools available as the resources available of course have increased. With both communities striving to ensure the success of their children, the consolidation is making that possible.
Along with providing all the tools needed the district has added that technology and curriculum must take priorities. Due to this consistence, a technology administrator along with three more labs has been added to ensure the success of each student.
The community as well as board members, teachers, and administrators work hand in had to ensure excellence in the academic curriculum offered and that this curriculum is in alignment with state standards. The schools in the district include A-C Central Elementary School for students in pre-kindergarten thru 5th grades, A-C Central High School for students in 9th thru 12th in Ashland and the A-C Central Junior High School for students in 6th thru 8th in Chandlerville.
