Altamont Community Unit School District 10

Altamont Community Unit School District 10 provides a quality education to students in kindergarten through 12 grades within two schools, which are Altamont Grade School and Altamont High School.

Teachers as well as all employees of the district work in a partnership to assist, communicate, and encourage learning in a family oriented safe environment, which creates life long learners and responsible members of society. These qualities help to instill respect for others as well as themselves. The mission of the district is to provide all students with the educational tools that are essential for every child to be successful in all aspects of their life.

The district also believes that extra curricular activities are just as vital in the growth of students as basic educational needs. Clubs, sports, and organization within the school district help in providing the necessary social activities for children to learn social skills.
