Calhoun Community Unit School District 40

The Calhoun Community Unit School District 40 offers an education to students in Calhoun County along with Brussels Community Unit School District 42. The district has two schools, which include Calhoun Elementary / Jr High School, and Calhoun High School both in Hardin. Students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grades from the local area enjoy attending school with their friends from the first day of school through graduation in a close-knit country atmosphere.

The district provides a safe educational environment while working with each student to ensure they succeed in all aspects of their lives. The district offers educational options as well as other social activities such as sports and clubs for students to learn the importance of team play.
