Carterville Community Unit School District 5

Carterville Community Unit School District 5 adheres to Illinois Learning Standards that define what all students in all Illinois public schools should know and be able to do in the seven core areas as a result of their elementary and secondary schooling. The district will foster self-esteem, and create an environment to stimulate thinking and instill a sense of accountability on the part of students for decisions and actions. The schools will provide a quality curriculum incorporating practical application of skills. Their educational experience will prepare students to be successful in an ever-changing world. The District will make a commitment to communication, maintenance of a strategic plan, and promote involvement among the schools, community, and family. The Board continues to provide proactive leadership through progressive district policies, administrative support, strategic planning, and accountability to all constituencies.
