Cook County School District 130

Cook County School District 130 provides education in the communities of: Alsip, Blue Island, Crestwood and Robbins with thirteen schools in their area. Teachers work to prepare each child to have the skills needed to continue their learning throughout life. The focus of their instructional approach is to put into place a program that helps each child grow based upon baseline data gathered by assessing student performance using local assessments, the IOWA basic skills test and the Illinois Standards Achievement Test. . An outstanding staff and involved, caring parents work collaboratively to insure that all of the students are excited about learning and value their school experiences. The school's Library/Media Specialist enables students SmartBoard technology, an interactive classroom tool that integrates the use of computers and the internet with the curriculum to improve teaching and learning.
