Girard Community Unit School District 3

Girard Community Unit School District 3 students are supported by highly prepared and effective teachers and school leaders, policies and processes have been implemented that support preparation programs with a focus on instruction and student learning. The classrooms are alive with activity that promotes these academic skills while embedding the content areas of Science and Socials Studies. Math is taught very explicitly to encourage skill and strategy development. Girard Community students receive a challenging education in an environment that recognizes the individual differences and needs of each child. Music, Art, and Physical Education programs sustain the idea of educating the whole child. Through character education we develop the skills necessary for social development and good citizenship.
