Hardin County Community Unit School District 1

Hardin County Community Unit School District 1 works to serve the school community with the new Illinois learning standards. These new standards identify several higher-order thinking skills and digital citizenship as critical for students to learn effectively for a lifetime. The Hardin County Community continues the academic excellence tradition with English Language Arts, English Mathematics, Spanish Science, and Spanish Social Studies. Electives include art, music, band, strings and physical education. Students will find exceptional counseling services available for academic, peer, social problems, or any other student issues. Hardin County Community Unit School District 1 academic program is characterized by a standards-based approach. The educational program is designed to foster strong academic skills, self-esteem, social competence, and problem solving abilities within an inclusive environment.
