Hiawatha Community Unit School District 426

Hiawatha Community Unit School District 426 curriculum is closely aligned with the Illinois State Standard and technology is integrated into the curriculum. Each building is wired and connected for Internet access with a computer lab per building and at least one computer in each classroom. Learning technologies are widely and equitably used in every school building to support the engagement of students, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community in helping all students to achieve high standards. Rich technology is used to promote knowledge and understanding for students, who will retrieve and manage information efficiently, communicate effectively, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively, think critically, remain flexible, and continue to learn. Through the use of technology the students will develop their unique potential and character.
