Pleasant Plains Community Unit School District 8 endeavors to help all students become lifelong learners and productive members of society: mature, independent thinkers who have the skills necessary to direct them to higher levels of learning and achievement. They believe in cooperative teamwork, drawing on each other’s individual strengths and special talents to provide a comprehensive educational experience for the students. With a commitment toward academic, social and emotional growth, our staff works to build upon the whole child. There are several different cultures and religions attending this Public School System so it has a very diverse background of students. Teachers are very committed to teaching students and getting them ready for grade advancements while preserving the ethics and cultural environment every parent expects.
