Sesser-Valier Community Unit School District 196 works to offer the best education for grades Pre-K through 12 all housed in a single building. Annual enrollments would be considered small compared to other districts with an average being just under 800. The School District, continues in an active partnership with parents and community, promotes excellence in a caring environment in which all students learn and grow. This partnership empowers all students to develop a strong self-esteem and to become responsible learners and decision-makers. The staff and teacher’s work to monitor and further the progress toward extremely high, but realistic standards, seek out novel and creative ways to improve our instructional endeavors, and to constantly strive for excellence. The physical education, health, music, art, library and technology programs are also an exciting part of each student’s instruction.
