South Community Union District 401

South Central Community Union District 401 community is alive with students being challenged to meet the mark of excellence in education. They are receiving guidance toward self-esteem, acceptable attitudes and ideals, an understanding of the world about them. Teaching through child centered instruction with active and project based learning that correlates with the standards set by the state and each student has the chance to grow and learn. The staff realizes that through the development of cooperation, respect, responsibility, and independence, all students can learn and will achieve to the maximum level of their individual academic potential. The school district, the governing authority, the student, the family and the community must share the responsibility to work together to facilitate academic growth. Ethical conduct is fundamental to sustaining society. Growth is dependent upon a continuous process of change and self examination.
