Spring Valley Community School District 99

The Spring Valley Community Consolidated School District 99 is home to two schools, which include Lincoln Elementary for students in kindergarten through 2nd, and John F. Kennedy Elementary School for students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grades both in Spring Valley.

The goal of the district is to emphasize the basic academic areas with math and reading at the top of the list, develop and maintain a fine arts program, assess all technology resources as well as create a plan to meet the needs of students, develop moral and ethical behavior through character education, and provide all students with the appropriate life skills need for the 21st century. The district endeavors to recruit high quality staff and faculty, provide mentoring for all staff old and new alike, train all members of the staff in the best practices for instruction, and to utilize technology when it is beneficial to the learning of the students.
